My alcoholic days in Beijing are coming to an end.

So Chinese Fusion

Let the Lord be TRUE and all men liars

I made a pact with the Lord. He, a physically and spiritually strong mum and I would walk Henderson Wave together after I get back to SIN.

To God be the Glory.

Amen.

Olympics fever has caught up with us...together with hordes of Chinese we were at the Bird Nest.

The Olympics Pool...yeah....we hope to participate in the 100m doggy style event

A Hoax....Chinese style

We were interested to pluck...fruits.

We were recommended a website : http://jingying.oukx.com/a_sa_0801071612011421-01.html

We called up and they said yes, there are peaches, pears etc to be plucked. But no, no apple. Not in July.

We drove there. Along the way, many phone calls were made and directions given.

We went up and down a few valleys.

We were told to wait at a designated car park.

We followed a car...thinking it would lead us to a orchard filled with fruits...all ready to be plucked.

After 2 hours or so, we arrived at THE place. Not a single fruit was in sight. Not even fake fruits. U know those plastic ones that are used for decoration. Nope. None of these.

We were brought to a restaurant.

Yes, this is a website to lure Beijing residents to a restaurant two hours away from the city and one whereby when you realised you were fooled, you were too hungry and tired not to eat like a horse there.

Way to go!

Something that I always look forward to & something that I will miss...going to the outskirts of Beijing..Hourou, Miyun, Shunyi...the beauty of nature

Thank Goodness we found a real orchard and there are fruits to be plucked!

She plucks, I pluck. She plucked a plastic full, I plucked a HAND full.

@in Shanghai

It was great to be back in Shanghai. Even greater to have bought 21 pieces of clothing. Ooops.

And I am just as excited about the 1000rmb dress as the 60rmb dress (yes! u read it right!).

I have decided that I would make annual trips to Shanghai in May and/or July for my shopping spree.

Can't wait.

:-)
