Episode One
We were talking about licence plates. I told the guy my office deliberately wanted a 'normal' license plate for our company's car. We didn't want any attention.

The guy answered,"No, you are wrong. Its the 'special' (for 'garment') license plates that get you all the privileges."

I kept quiet. I knew then that this guy does not know what I am talking about and if he does, we are of different wavelength.

Episode Two
She skyped me for no reason. So I thought. Then I knew why she skyped. She complained about how she had to attend dinner with the top 'garment' people. She talked about how tiring it was and how she disliked it. Then I realised she was NOT complaining. She was ahem 'COMPLAINING'. Yes,you got it.

So I told her, "Poor you. I just told them I was out of town."

That stopped the conversation. That shut her up there and then.

Again, different wavelength. I rather be soaking in my bathtub with my TsingDao and Vogue Magazine and hearing the dripping sound of my tap; than shall I say Singlish.

Episode Three
He said, "In my previous post, we spent alot of time networking, 'hosting' people. The job was more relaxing. It all depends on how hard you want to work ("network")"

I thought, "I KNOW. Some of these people I would have met in Episode Two if I were there that night." but I said, "Oh really? The nature of the job is different."

Finale
I thought,"I am at the wrong place, doing the right things and mixing with the wrong people for the past X years. HE and SHE would go far. Because they are at the right place, doing the wrong things and mixing with the right people."
